Challenge Southern Highlands is a disability support service offering a range of supports to NDIS participants.  If you are interested in a rewarding career in the disability sector then this role is for you.

Challenge Southern Highlands have casual positions available as a Disability Support Worker. The successful candidate needs to have a high attention to detail, show commitment to their role, and be caring and compassionate towards clients at all times.

Qualifications & experience

2 – 3 years relevant experience preferred however full on the job training is provided for the right candidate.
First Aid Certificate – must hold current certificate before commencement
Working With Children Check – must hold current clearance before commencement
NDIS Worker Check – must hold current clearance before commencement
Unrestricted Drivers License – Class C
Certificate III or IV in Disability preferred.
Competency in using Microsoft Word, scanning or saving documents and email use is required. One to one training can be supplied during your training period.
Tasks & responsibilities

Provide direct support to clients, ensuring services provided work towards reaching the participants NDIS goals
Flexibility to work a rotating roster of day shifts, sleepover shifts both on weekdays and weekends.
Demonstrated professional experience of successfully working in a team, taking direction and working autonomously if required
The nature of the role is that you may be called to work at short notice for shift cover in case of unplanned staff absences – ensuring service continuity for our clients is our focus
High level communication skills are imperative in both written and verbal forms. Must have access to email as all job related instructions are sent by email in the first instance and verbally over the phone if urgent
