Challenge Southern Highlands has a permanent full time position available as a Work Crew & Garden Maintenance Supported Employment Services Support Worker. The successful candidate needs to display an attention to detail, show commitment to their role, and be caring and compassionate towards supported employees at all times.

Qualifications & experience

  • May hold Trade certificate, or equivalent qualifications/experience in a garden/maintenance setting
  • Current drivers license with the ability to drive a manual vehicle (with trailer)
  • Maintenance and repair of capital equipment
  • Supervision of supported employees
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Organising equipment, with an allocation of supported employees to undertake garden maintenance works in residential and industrial estates on a daily basis
  • General Garden Maintenance to include Lawn Mowing, Whipper Snipping, Hedging and Pruning
  • Weed spraying, green waste removal, general labour
  • Strong commitment to safe work practices
  • Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Capacity to work in all weather conditions
